Scenic Rafting Trip Lower San Juan River
Our bus to the river departs from Fairfield Activities Center for a scenic 45 minute drive to our raft trip launch point near Carcarus. With an elevation below 6,000 feet, this section of river has a much warmer and dryer weather than Fairfield Pagosa area at 7,500 feet. We will use this delightful stream as our 8 mile long swimming pool. With your help our guides will turn that old river in to a wonderland of waterslides, rapids to run in your lifejacket, great rocks to skip and a water fight or two. Deer, wild turkeys, and waterfowl are often spotted during our journey. After a river side snack and drinks we will float on down the river to our take out site at the head of Navajo Lake to meet our bus for the short ride back to Pagosa Springs. · Included: Transportation, guides, drinks, river gear, and waterproof gear bags. · Bring and wear: Light snack, waterproof camera, swimsuit or shorts, sweater or jacket for cooler weather, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and shoes that can get wet. |
