The Pagosa Springs area is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and intriguing natural wonders of the Four Corners area. Our naturalist guides will lead you to some of their favorite hideaways. The itinerary of each tour may vary slightly with the seasons.

One of our favorite falls to visit is Silver Falls secluded away in the forest of the East Fork valley. The drive to the trail head is an adventure in itself.  We will first negotiate through a maze of wild volcanic spires and interesting geologic formations as we wind through the San Juan National Forest on our way to the falls trail.

After a 1/8 mile hike through a lush pine, spruce/fir forest, we hear the roar of the falls.  Standing at the base of the falls, bathing in the cool mists will charge you with earth vibrant energies. This is truly a Kodak moment. After charging your spiritual batteries under the falls, we move on to our lunch stop in Pagosa Springs, and then it’s onto Williams Lake. Nestled in the high Rocky Mountains, at the base of the Continental Divide, This lake is a prize jewel.

It’s onward and upward to our next adventure after lunch. The Ice Caves canyon cut by the Piedra River through sandstone ridges is traversed by pleasant riverside trail which will take us into the canyon where we are surrounded by overhanging cliffs and vertical ice caves. Your naturalist guide will point out the numerous edible and medicinal plants along the trail.
