Winter Tours

Wilderness Journeys has been leading outdoor adventure tours in the southwest since 1969. We would love to share with you some of our favorite adventures in the Pagosa Springs area. Winter is a great time to visit areas like Mesa Verde or ride the Durango/Silverton Train. With the crowds of summer gone, a winter visit can seem like a private tour. Winter is also the best time to view abundant wildlife of our area. Herds of elk and deer as well as numerous wild turkeys and occasional eagles are seen on our Wildlife and history tour.
